WHAT WE BELIEVE AT DMK FITNESS

Services1

Advanced exercise training, even for clients who have survived critical illness, trauma, or joint replacement, can counteract the negative, self-perpetuating cycle of weakness, fatigue, and functional impairment that limits mobility and slows the return to normal life. Becoming part of a health and fitness community changes how clients see their own potential, and as they watch others rebuild their strength, cycles of positive reinforcement take hold.

ENJOY OPTIMUM QUALITY OF LIFE

Services3

Physical training has profound effects on three major areas of life: physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning. The physical benefits are self-evident, including better gait, balance, strength, flexibility, and endurance. Cognitive benefits appear in memory, concentration, and focus, as dedication and effort improve energy and attention. And engaging in a health-promoting social environment fosters positive relationships, encourages goal-setting, and helps deter feelings of dependence or helplessness. We believe that intensive physical training, with deliberate and safe progression, is a logical extension of the rehabilitation continuum following critical illness and trauma, and should be viewed as an essential part of recovery. Neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions benefit greatly from this same approach.

Our team of experts is here to help each client meet their goals and enjoy an optimum quality of life.

CLIENT POLICY AGREEMENT

Services2

Every new client completes a brief health history on or before their initial interview and evaluation, so that each program is built safely around their needs.

Progress depends on the client’s effort and cooperation, both in and outside of the training session. DMK Fitness, LLC operates on a prescheduled appointment basis and requires twenty-four (24) hours’ notice to cancel a scheduled appointment. With proper notice, no charge applies. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, a charge will be levied for that appointment. Exceptions are made for circumstances such as medical or dental emergencies and a death in the family. It is the client’s responsibility to keep the Exercise Specialist informed, on an ongoing basis, of any conditions or changes to their health that might affect their ability to exercise safely and with minimal risk of injury.
